标 题: Di Canio deal must wait
Lazio have revealed that they won’t open contract talks with Paolo Di Canio
until the end of April.
The Biancocelesti fan favourite has less than six months left on his
present deal which leaves his future in doubt.
Although the 37-year-old has openly declared his desire to bring his career
to an end with his hometown club, the capital outfit seem in no rush to sit
down with the attacker.
“We will meet with him on April 30 to discuss his future,” President
Claudio Lotito stated this afternoon.
“As I have said on numerous occasions in the past, we have a number of
other priorities to sort out first. Nevertheless, we have set up an
appointment.”
One of those priorities is securing the future of boss Delio Rossi. “I
will meet with him before Di Canio,” added the Olimpico chief.
The former Lecce boss, who only signed for the giants in the summer
following the exit of Giuseppe Papadopulo, has been a big hit in Rome.
