Bari’s Stefano Guberti To Sign For Roma In Coming Days – Report

Roma have been linked with a move for the Bari midfielder Stefano Guberti since the January transfer period, and there have been strong indications suggesting that the 24-year-old will join the Lupi on a free transfer this summer, as his contract with the Pugliesi is set to expire.

Having said that, the Giallorossi’s recent coaching uncertainties, as well as Bari’s promotion to the top flight, have put this move in doubt, as the player and his agent have been considering other options, mainly concerning Fiorentina, who have also expressed interest.

With Luciano Spalletti declaring that he will remain with the Romans until 2011 just last night though, Corriere dello Sport has reported that Guberti could very well be on his way to the Italian capital, with a deal expected by the end of the week.

The midfielder is said to be a fan of Spalletti’s 4-2-3-1 setup and believes that he will have a role to play in that system.

It has been claimed previously that Guberti will put pen to paper on a four-year-deal said to be worth around 750,000 euros per season.

在斯帕莱蒂确定留守之后，罗马的转会运作进入“快车道”。意大利媒体《罗马体育报》5日透露，巴里边路球星古贝尔蒂将在周末之前免费加盟罗马，他将是红狼夏季首位新援；与此同时，租借期满的意大利新科国脚莫塔希望俱乐部完成他的永久性转会，想长期留在罗马。

早在冬歇期，24岁的古贝尔蒂就进入罗马高层的引援视线。不过，古贝尔蒂当时未能披上红狼战袍，巴里抢先一步用30万欧元租借古贝尔蒂。在意乙的半个赛季，古贝尔蒂的表现没有让人失望。他代表球队出场18次总计1429分钟，期间打进9球助攻5次，是巴里的升级功臣。

"La Roma mi ha incaricato di fissare un incontro dopo il 15 giugno- dice l'agente dell'esterno del Bari, Claudio De Nicola, a romagiallorossa.com- Contatterò il ragazzo dopo la fine di questa settimana per vedere a che punto è la situazione e per valutare il momento attuale, anche in considerazione del fatto che è rimasto Spalletti. Penso che il ragazzo, per rispetto della Roma e delle altre società che sono in attesa di una risposta, debba prendere una decisione". Dopo il 15 giugno, quindi, ci saranno degli sviluppi. "Direi di sì. Spero che l'operazione possa andare in porto, anche perché la Roma ha delegato me affinché la trattativa possa andare a buon fine. I parametri la Roma me li ha già dati e dovrò solamente riferirli al ragazzo che poi, ripeto, dovrà prendere una decisione in merito". Il discorso è collegato ad un investimento sul giocatore e, considerando che rimane Spalletti in panchina, la Roma ha voluto dare un'accelerata all'operazione". La conferma del tecnico toscano ha influito positivamente su Guberti: "La trattativa viveva una fase di stallo proprio perché non si era a conoscenza del futuro di Spalletti.
