Okaka Joins Bologna On Loan

Roma youngster Stefano Chuka Okaka has joined newly promoted Bologna on a season-long loan.

Okaka, who was born in Umbria to Nigerian parents, is highly rated in the peninsula, and last week helped Italy Under-19s to second place in the European Championships.

The 18-year-old joined the Roma youth system from Cittadella in 2004, and spent last season on-loan at Serie B side Modena, scoring seven goals.

Having returned back to Roma, Okaka has now been loaned out again, this time to newly promoted Serie A side Bologna.

“I’m happy to be going to Bologna,” Okaka told Tuttomercatoweb.

“I hope that I can do well there. I didn’t expect to stay on at Roma. I’m happy to renew my contract and be sent on loan, and Bologna is the most pleasing destination.”

Bologna have been quite prominent in the summer transfer market so far, capturing the likes of Corinthians hardman Coelho, Lazio’s Gaby Mudingayi, and Sampdoria duo Cristian Zenoni and Sergio Volpi. They have a baptism of fire though on their return to the top-flight, as they travel to AC Milan for their fist game of the season.

“Serie A is like that,” Okaka added.

“Playing Juventus, Inter or Fiorentina would have been the same because the giants are all at the same level.”

Stefano Okaka potrebbe rimanere alla Roma. Non è ancora sfumata la pista Bologna, che rimane tuttavia aperta, ma la società giallorossa ha chiesto al giocatore di rimanere per altri quindici giorni nel ritiro di Trigoria per poi decidere il proprio futuro. Lo rende noto l’agente di Okaka, l’Avvocato Scopelliti, a Laromasiamonoi.it: “Stefano rimarrà con la Roma per una quindicina di giorni. La squadra di Spalletti ha alcuni infortunati e quindi Stefano può essere utile. Il tecnico lo proverà e sapremo con maggior certezza il futuro del ragazzo tra quindici giorni. Lui, chiaramente, di fronte alla richiesta della società di rimanere, ha accettato con grande gioia. Se è sfumata la pista Bologna? Assolutamente no. In queste cinque amichevoli che la Roma sosterrà, Stefano verrà valutato dal tecnico. 《laromasiamonoi》新闻，奥卡卡在随意大利获得U19欧洲杯亚军后又听到了一个好消息，罗马主帅斯帕莱蒂决定给奥卡卡15天的考察期，并参加罗马同摩纳哥、艾阿里、托特纳姆热刺的这三场热身赛，如果奥卡卡能够有良好的表现，新赛季则有望留在罗马。同时，奥卡卡已经和罗马续约至2012年。
当然，这也是出于转会市场方面的考虑，因为罗马有可能将剩下的1500万转会预算全部用来引进一名边锋，这样奥卡卡在中锋位置上就能够得到一定的空间。
奥卡卡的经纪人Avvocato Scopelliti表示，“奥卡卡将随罗马进行15天的集训，目前罗马出现了一些伤病，而奥卡卡是可用之材。通过这15天的考察教练将决定奥卡卡新赛季的归属。奥卡卡本人得知罗马的这一要求后非常高兴地同意了。博洛尼亚？这个可能性也没有完全消失，这需要看奥卡卡能否通过考察。不过能留在罗马的话奥卡卡将非常高兴，因为他是真正的罗马球迷；当然，如果最终被租借出去奥卡卡也能愉快地接受。”

目前还没有准确的数据，但奥卡卡的身体似乎又强壮了不少，而且场上活动范围比前个赛季在罗马的时候大了很多。
最近托蒂伤势未愈，在还没有引进边锋的情况下武齐尼奇又不能一直踢中锋，蒙特拉似乎不怎么适合单前锋，留下奥卡卡考察下也很好。
