Matteo Brighi Not Pleased, But May Stay With Roma - Agent
The 28-year-old may stay with the Giallorossi, even if he does not get a raise...
Roma midfielder Matteo Brighi believes he is worthy of a new deal following an impressive season, but his agent, Vanni Puzzolo, insists there has been no desire from Roma to offer an improved contract.
"With regards to Brighi there is no news," he explained to ilsussidiario.net.
"He is a Roma player, at this time he is not content, nonetheless he is a player of the Giallorossi."
Many expected the capital club to offer the midfielder a new contract after his excellent 2008-09 campaign, where he made 43 appearances for Roma and worked his way back on to the national team, even if he missed out on the Confederations Cup.
"I do not know whether a meeting will happen in the next few days, no face-to-face meeting has been set up," he concluded.
The situation has reportedly alerted the likes of Napoli and Inter, but the player's representative dismissed any contact from either club over the past month.
