Barça Close To Silva Deal
Valencia have been linked with summer departures as the financial crisis that has been affecting the club may well dictate the exit of some of their biggest assets.
The representative of David Villa made it clear yesterday that his client would not leave Mestalla, at least not this season, after initial talks with the Valencia board over his new deal.
Los Che have thus turned their attention to keeping Villa in their ranks - a move which has reportedly paved the way for Silva's transfer to Camp Nou to go ahead.
According to the Spanish paper, Barcelona will have a decisive meeting with Valencia on Wednesday which will decide the figure required to prize the player towards Catalonia.
Speculation has surfaced suggesting that Barcelona have tabled a 25 million bid for the player but, despite needing the money, Valencia won't make life easy for the Catalan club.
