Roma are ready to let Spurs sign Egyptian striker Mido on a permanent basis after a hugely successful loan spell at White Hart Lane. The 22-year-old striker is Tottenham's top scorer this season and Martin Jol has admitted that he would like to sign the player on a permanent basis providing he returns from African Cup of Nations duty in good shape. Some reports had suggested Roma wanted to bring the striker back but Spurs have an agreement with the Italian side and leading Italian journalist Filippo Maria Ricci has told clubcall the deal should go through with no troubles. "He has made it clear he does not want to go back to Roma, he had terrible months with them and it was a wrong move. He will never go back there," Ricci exclusively told clubcall. "The situation is that he likes the club and the league. He will do everything to stay and Roma will let him go. It will not be difficult to do a deal. It will not take to much money, maybe £3-5million. "Tottenham are challenging for a Champions League place and that is partly due to Mido and with everything looking rosy for Tottenham the player wants to stay." 看来还是以前那个租借合同的附加条款在作怪，到底那时是谁去谈的，无语了简直
