Dacourt chase continues
Bolton are still believed to be leading the chase for Roma's Olivier Dacourt. Sam Allardyce is keen to secure Dacourt, despite strong interest from elsewhere in Europe. Birmingham are also reported to be looking to land him, as are Spanish sides Sevilla and Villarreal. However, the whole situation has been complicated at Roma's end after they picked up a year-long transfer ban from Fifa for irregularities in the Phillipe Mexes move. Fifa have told Roma they cannot buy or sell players within the next 12 months, although loan and frees are thought to be okay - which could be Dacourt's saving grace. With the ban in place, Roma are likely to allow Dacourt to move on an initial loan - which would also suit most bidding parties. Peter Harrison, working with Bruno Satin on Dacourt, confirmed something could be done this week. "Talks are continuing, but things have been complicated by Roma," Harrison told skysports.com. "The player is interested in coming to England and that is what we are working towards. "We are hopeful something could be done in the next 48 hours." (天空体育)
