[eurosports] Francesco Tavano's Valencia hell appears to be near an end after the Spanish club reportedly agreed a loan deal with Roma. Sources in Spain say the striker will move back to his homeland until the end of the season after failing to make an impact at Los Che. Tavano scored 38 league goals in two seasons for Empoli before being snapped up the the Liga giants this summer. However, he has not featured as part of coach Quique Sanchez Flores, playing just 43 minutes of Primera Division football so far this term. The 27-year-old has been the subject of much transfer speculation, with his club rejecting the advances of several clubs in Spain and Italy. Tavano has said he want to return to Serie A having struggled to adapt to life in Spain, and appears to have got his wish with a move to the capital. Roma are notoriously short of strikers, and have used Francesco Totti as a lone front man for much of this season.
