Bari are ready to swoop for Roma defender Marco Andreolli as his agent Patrick Bastianelli reveals that both clubs have been locked in talks over the Italian Under-21 international.
Andreolli has just returned from his loan spell as Sassuolo last season, but it seems the Giallorossi are ready to ship him out once again. Recent reports claimed Bari were sniffing around for the former Inter stopper and this has now been confirmed.
"There was a meeting between Luciano Spalletti and Bari coach Giampiero Ventura on Monday. Now it's down to the clubs to reach an agreement," Bastianelli told Romagiallarossa.com.
"The player needs regular football, and this is unlikely at Roma as they have two very strong central defenders in Philippe Mexes and Juan.
"It's clear that Bari are one of the teams on Andreolli, but we have to evaluate the situation."
Andreolli joined Roma in 2007 from Inter, but he has been out on loan in order to gain experience for the last two seasons.
