Juve play down Cassano talkby Nadia Carminati - created on 20 Jun 2005 Juventus have moved to play down speculation linking them with a move for Roma star Antonio Cassano. The Italian international has been constantly linked with a move to Juve and fresh reports have suggested the Serie A champions were closing in on his signature. Cassano's future has been the subject of intense speculation for a number of months because of Roma's poor campaign last term. Juve have always rejected the reports linking them with Cassano and Bianconeri chief officer Antonio Giraudo has again dismissed the claims, insisting the club do not need to buy the striker because of attacking talent they already have at the club. "Cassano is a really big champion," said Giraudo. "He's a guy with a big perspective, but in this moment, Juve's attack is really well covered. "In this market, we have already made three important signings in Kovac, Mutu and Giannichedda. "But should there be the possibility to make a coup that is able to strengthen Juve, surely we won't hold back." 好不掩饰了! |
