The 23 year-old Roma midfielder Alberto Aquilani, who has been chased by Arsenal, amongst others, is being reported as having agreed terms with Juventus, but Roma are refusing to consider a transfer.
Aquilani's father is also his co-agent, and Tuttosport have reported that he has been on phone to Juve director Jean-Claude Blanc and has agreed personal terms for his son to move to Turin.
Contract negotiations between Aquilani and Roma have broken down. The player is demanding £2.5million a year but the club are only offering £1.5million, so now the father is trying to get a better deal for his son elsewhere.
Juventus are trying hard to contact Roma to agree a transfer fee, but Roma executive director Rosella Sensi has spoken to Blanc and she made it perfectly clear that Aquilani will be going nowhere.
Aquilani has been at Roma all his life and even turned down a move to Chelsea as a 16 year-old to realise his dream of playing for his hometown club. He was taken to the Euro2008 tournament with the Italy team and got his first (and last) start in the penalty defeat against Spain in the quarterfinals.
