Lecce president Rico Semeraro has underlined his determination to hold onto the well-regarded coach, and admitted that the club agreed to discuss an extension when safety from relegation was guaranteed.
The Lecce supremo is confident of holding onto the Czech tactician, although conceded his manager would inevitably have to consider any other offers.
"We have always wanted to sit and talk about the future when [safety from relegation] is achieved," Semeraro told GRT Agency.
"If he will have better offers than our one, he will evaluate them, but the relationship started with him wasn't finalised to only one season.
"Zeman says he feels good with us, so I don't see any big problems, surely if it arrives it will be a big team.
"For me Zeman is Lecce's coach and I hope it will be so next season too.

Roma still searching
Roma have confirmed that they have still not found a coach for next season.
The Giallorissi's current boss, Bruno Conti, took the job on an interim basis, insisting that he was not a long term measure.
This means that Roma will be looking for yet another coach in the summer, and chief officer Rossella Sensi admitted that the search is ongoing.
"We want the coach to be passionate about the club," said Sensi.
"I can't tell you who we are considering but the decision will be made soon.
"Roma are a big team, a big club and we represent a big city.
"This gives an obligation to succeed, and we must remain competitive.
"We have nothing to envy about Milan or Juventus and this is shown in numbers, market research and the catchment area."
