大不了薪水罗马也付一部分，就象切尔西那样，反正他们下赛季就会回来，并且青年队员工资也不是很高。

Ferrari nears Roma deal Sunday 18 July, 2004

Matteo Ferrari will complete his move from Parma to Roma by the end of next week.

"The deal is on the verge of completion," says his agent Giovanni Corci. "Talk that he is set to join another club are false.

"Matteo is currently on holiday in the Seychelles and no other team could have possibly contacted him.

"Roma is a welcome destination for him both because of the club and the Coach. He should sign before July 22."

The central defender has been linked with the Giallorossi for some time and the arrival of Cesare Prandelli as Coach seems to have proved decisive.

Prandelli coached Ferrari for two seasons at Parma where he helped develop him into one of Italy’s most promising defenders.

The Italian international, a squad member at Euro 2004, had caught the attention of numerous clubs.

He was linked with a January move to Juventus before the likes of Manchester United also took an interest.

The Stadio Olimpico outfit hope to have Ferrari playing alongside Auxerre’s Philippe Mexes in the centre of defence next season.
