Roma And Mancini Edging Closer To Renewal
Brazilian winger Amantino Mancini has acknowledged that he is a man in demand but has once again insisted that he sees his long-term future at Roma.
“O.L, Inter, Real and Liverpool wanted me, but I hope to find an agreement with Roma to renew my contract within next month. At the moment all I want to do is play," said the 27-year-old, whose Brazilian agent Gilmar Veloz is scheduled to travel to Rome in October to thrash out a new deal. Roma’s Director of Sport Daniele Pradé echoed the sentiments by revealing that all signs are pointing towards a smooth conclusion to contract renewal negotiations which hit a low point earlier this summer. “I talked on the phone with Mancini’s advisor and he was positive about the prospect of a contract renewal,” said Pradé. “We will get together at the beginning of next month to figure everything out.” According to the reports in the Italian press, the biggest impediment to a deal thus far has centered on the financial aspects.
