Con un comunicato pubblicato sul proprio sito ufficiale la Roma ha così smentito le voci di un possibile nuovo intervento chirurgico per Dodò:
"In merito ad alcune indiscrezioni apparse in data odierna su un organo di informazione, relative allo stato di salute del calciatore José Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro Dodô, la AS Roma intende smentire fermamente qualsiasi ipotesi di ulteriore intervento chirurgico e ritiene quanto riportato nel suddetto articolo del tutto inattendibile e invasivo della privacy.
Precisamente il giocatore Dodô sta seguendo un intenso programma di riequilibrio muscolare e propriocettivo dell’arto operato (ginocchio sinistro), sia con terapia manuale e fisioterapica che con lavori in palestra".

Concerning certain rumours that have appeared today in the media regarding the state of health of the player José Rodolfo Pires Ribeiro, better known as Dodô, AS Roma strongly deny any possibility of further surgery and hold these reports to be completely unreliable as well as an invasion of privacy.

The player is currently undergoing an intense proprioceptive exercise programme for the limb that was operated on [left knee, ed.], involving both manual physiotherapy and work in the gym

【永恒罗马网】8月30日罗马训练情况

      当地时间8月30日，罗马球员们在特里戈里亚基地进行了例行训练。

      布拉德利接受物理治疗；多多单独训练，同时罗马俱乐部在官方网站否认了多多需要再进行一次手术的传闻；博列洛得到俱乐部允许后没有参加训练，他正在和其他俱乐部谈自己的转会。

      罗马球员们首先进行了热身，随后进行了分组攻防对抗训练。在训练中托蒂－奥斯瓦尔多－德斯特罗在锋线搭档，而中场则是弗洛雷斯－塔什特西迪斯－德罗西，马尔奎尼奥则踢左边后卫。皮亚尼奇在训练中右小腿轻微受伤，并提前中止了训练，不过他的伤势并无大碍。

经过罗马队医初步检查，巴尔扎雷蒂是左腿大腿肌肉拉伤。据《罗马体育报》预测，这位左后卫甚至有可能缺席一个月的时间。这样，巴尔扎雷蒂肯定无法参加接下来的两场世界杯预选赛，而意大利国家队主帅普兰德利有可能召入亚特兰大的佩鲁索和佛罗伦萨的帕斯夸尔其中之一作为巴尔扎雷蒂的替代者。
