Roma edge nearer Ferrari deal

Roma have confirmed they have virtually agreed a deal to reunite Parma defender Matteo Ferrari with Cesare Prandelli.
罗马确认费的转会实际上已经完成了。
Parma's dire financial predicament means they have been vulnerable to offers for their star players throughout the summer.
They now appear to have wilted under pressure from Roma to cash in on the coveted Ferrari.
Though Roma are not particularly affluent themselves, they have raised funds during the close season by offloading Walter Samuel and Jonathan Zebina.
As a consequence, they require a centre half and have moved for Ferrari to fill the void.
Prandelli, who coached the Italian at Parma, is keen to have Ferrari in his ranks at Stadio Olimpico for the coming season.
Giallorossi sporting director Franco Baldini has now confirmed that the club are on the cusp of concluding their swoop for Ferrari.
"For Ferrari, the negotiation is practically defined," said Baldini. "We need only to formalise it."
In the past few months, Ferrari has caught the eye of Juventus, Milan, Manchester United and Chelsea but he is now set to sign for Roma.
