Rome derby moved?
罗马的安全部门认为,比赛安排在下午而不是晚上,有利于警察更好开展工作
但这还涉及到电视转播问题
一般来说,天空体育不会愿意放弃黄金时间向全世界转播这场火热德比的机会
The decision to play the notoriously fiery Rome derby in the evening has infuriated security chiefs and the tie could be switched.
The League announced this week that the traditional ‘Befana’ games on Thursday January 6 would be played at 3pm local time, with the exception of Roma-Lazio at 8.30pm.
“We fully agree with the Mayor of Rome Walter Veltroni’s call for the match to be played in the afternoon,” stated police chief Enzo Marco Letizia. “This would guarantee greater safety for the security forces both in ensuring the public order and repressing the more violent elements.”
“During daylight,” added the security representative, “our ability to identify and calm troublemakers is considerably increased. We should also point out that last week Lazio hooligans disguised as fans infiltrated the evening game at Livorno and took part in gratuitously violent acts.”
It looks likely that the Rome derby will be moved to an afternoon kick-off, but it’s not yet clear whether or not another fixture from that round will start later to appease the pay-per-view television companies.
