Transfers between Lazio and Roma are seldom, but there has been a temporary policy change in the capital as the Giallorossi have signed the Aquile's goalkeeping coach.
Guido Nanni has left his post at Formello after four years and he will join forces with Claudio Ranieri at Trigoria as Roma's new goalkeeping coach.
La Gazzetta dello Sport reports it was president Rosella Sensi who instigated the move after a request from the coach. And after a conversation with opposite number Claudio Lotito, the deal was done.
And Nanni cannot wait to begin his new adventure on the other side of the Tiber.
"Lazio did not show up regarding a renewal and so I decided to accept Roma's offer," he said.
"It's always the same with Lazio. Every year you wait until mid-July before knowing your future, and this is not good.
"Then I know Ranieri and he convinced me. Working with him fills me with pride." |
