Roma defender Marco Cassetti has blamed their defensive lapses against Chievo on the language barrier between himself and Christian Wilhelmsson.
Cassetti believes that the Gialloblu’s second goal, scored by Franco Semioli, was caused by a problem of communication between the Giallorossi.
“Wilhelmsson and I often don’t understand each other because he doesn’t speak Italian very well yet,” said the former Lecce full-back.
“Sometimes I don’t know what to do. During the second goal for example I was left alone in defence because we didn’t understand each other,” concluded Cassetti.
Wilhelmsson joined the Capitolini from French outfit Nantes during the January transfer window. The Swede has impressed so far with the Giallorossi, despite any language problems.
That draw meant Roma failed to reduce the 14-point gap between themselves and Inter, despite the Nerazzurri’s slip against Udinese.
