Alessandro Mancini may quit Roma if fans continue to hound him, according to his agent.
The Giallorossi have experienced a faltering start to the season, and a section of fans have focused their anger on the Brazilian winger.
Mancini expressed a desire to leave the Eternal City during the summer but was persuaded by manager Luciano Spalletti and sporting director Daniele Prade to stay.
Now his agent says that the 25-year-old is experiencing more unrest as a result of the persistent abuse he is receiving.
"Amantino is playing to his maximum," said Gilmar Veloz.
"He is doing all that he can for a boy who has his heart elsewhere. His father is very ill back home and both Spalletti and Prade know this, yet the criticism continues.
"If people think that Mancini isn’t giving enough to Roma then the club should contact me. We are even ready to go elsewhere."
Juventus have been linked with Mancini in the past, although Luciano Moggi said in August that he was not a player the club would consider signing. |
