Panucci in shock following crash Saturday 13 September, 2003

Christian Panucci is unlikely to play after he was involved in a car crash on Friday evening.


The Roma defender is relatively unhurt, but a woman and her two-year-old daughter in the other vehicle suffered more serious injuries.


Reports maintain the former Inter and Milan man is suffering from shock and minor whiplash.


His Porsche was in a head-on collision with another vehicle on the via Fioranello, just outside Ciampino Airport.


According to eyewitness reports, the other car appeared to veer on to the opposite lane and Panucci’s reflexes avoided a more powerful impact.


The player, who had just arrived at the Rome airport, swerved to avoid the on-coming vehicle and his car came to a halt in a nearby canal.


Although not badly hurt in the crash, club doctors are hesitant to field him for Sunday’s Serie A match with Brescia.

意外是在昨晚发生的，当时帕努奇正开车行驶，另一辆车却在路上反方向行驶过来，为避免相撞，帕努奇立即驱车驶向另一车道，在此过程中两车有相撞

事后检查出帕努奇只是一点轻伤，基本不碍事，但另一车上的妇女和她的女儿伤势则比较严重。

虽然帕努奇伤势不重，但基于球员目前心理仍比较紧张，队医已经考虑帕努奇出战布雷西亚的可能性

hospital for yesterday sincerarsi of the conditions of the Mrs. and
the child after the street incident evening.

Panucci describes crash scare    Sunday 14 September, 2003

Christian Panucci has spoken out following a dramatic car crash that left a woman and her daughter in hospital.


“It was a terrible image and I shall never forget it,” said the Roma defender, who was unhurt in the incident on Friday evening.


His Porsche collided head on with a Lancia Y near Rome’s Ciampino airport when the woman’s car veered into the other lane.


“I went to visit them in hospital and to see they are doing much better has begun to calm me down now.”


“It could have turned into a tragedy,” he continued. “Thankfully I was only going at about 60 km/h and was able to swerve at the last second.”


His car ended up in a small ditch next to the road, but the other vehicle had the worst of the impact.


The woman and her two-year-old daughter were cut out of the wreckage and kept in hospital overnight.


“We still crashed, but I managed to avoid a catastrophic impact as my car was heading straight towards that little girl’s seat.”


Panucci was unhurt but extremely shaken following the accident and his presence for Sunday’s match with Brescia is in doubt.


“I was just a nervous wreck,” he revealed. “I couldn’t eat or sleep and must have cried all night. Thankfully I now know the mother and her daughter are going to be alright.”

"我已经去医院探望了那对母女，直到看见她们恢复的不错时我才慢慢安定下来。这次车祸差点演变为一场悲剧，还好当时我只是以每小时60公里的速度在驾驶。虽然我一直在尽力避免相撞但两车还是撞上了，不过之前我一直在努力设法避免使我的汽车直接撞向那个小女孩坐的位置。”


虽然帕努奇没有受伤但他的情绪明显地受到影响，“那晚我真的非常担心，当时我整夜都无法安睡，还好现在那对母女伤势不重。”
