Wednesday 2 November, 2005 <br/><br/>--------------------------------------------------------------------------------<br/><br/>Udinese striker David Di Michele is set for a move to Roma, according to his agent.<br/><br/>In an interview with Guerin Sportivo, Di Michele’s agent is reported to have confirmed an approach from the capital’s club in acquiring the services of the player.<br/><br/>“The club is very interested in David,” said Stefano Antonelli. “If they make the right offer it’s very feasible that he will go. <br/><br/>“It seems they have paved the way him to move. The two clubs just need to agree the price.”<br/><br/>Di Michele, who was born just outside Rome, has had mixed fortunes since joining Udinese in 2001. <br/><br/>After an indifferent first year he was loaned to Reggina for two seasons before coming into his own last term under the guidance of Coach Luciano Spalletti, scoring 15 goals for the Friulani club.<br/><br/>After Luciano Spalletti left for Roma in the summer, there was talk of a move for the 29-year-old, who is a lifelong Giallorossi fan. <br/><br/>Di Michele was reported to have said in an interview at the time: “I‘ll go even if I have to walk there.”<br/><br/>This season there is said to have been dressing-room unrest between Di Michele and some of his Udinese teammates. <br/><br/>With Roma keen to off-load Antonio Cassano to either Juventus or Inter in the January transfer window a move for the skilful forward, whose contract expires in 2009, would seem to suit all parties – provided the price is right.<br/><br/>
