Roma, Take Me Back, Pleads Candela Former French international Vincent Candela revealed on Wednesday that he would love to rejoin the club of his heart, AS Roma. “I would return to play with Roma for free. I already live here, and have become a fan of this team. If they want me, I’m already there,” he told Roma-fan daily ‘Il Romanista’. “I already spoke with Totti. He knows my wish. But I haven’t received a call. I don’t think they need me,” the 1998 World Cup winner added.
Candela played for Roma from 1997 until 2005, and was one of the main starts of the 2000/2001 Scudetto team.
