Liverpool have rubbished reports linking central defender Sami Hyypia with a move to Roma this summer.
The Finland international has not been a regular at Anfield this season and reports claimed the Serie A side were monitoring the situation with a view to a summer bid.
Stories in the Sunday tabloids suggested Liverpool have even been in talks with Roma for three weeks over a switch for Hyypia, but Liverpool spokesman Ian Cotton denied these rumours.
He told the official Liverpool website: "There has been no contact with Roma at all. The story is absolute rubbish."
但CHANNEL4还在转发谣言说,海皮亚的经纪人表示已经开始与罗马接触
It’s reported that the prime transfer targets for Roma are PSV Eindhoven’s Swiss international Johann Vogel and Liverpool defender Sami Hyypia.
“We have begun contact with Roma, as Hyypia is definitely on their wish-list,” his manager was quoted as saying in the Italian Press.
