French international midfielder Olivier Dacourt has revealed that he turned down a number of offers to return to the Premiership this summer.

Dacourt admitted that he had received offers from Liverpool and Tottenham but opted to stay in the Italian capital.

"I never considered a move away from Roma even though I had the possibility," Dacourt told the Corriere dello Sport.

Ex-Leeds star Dacourt revealed that his admiration for new Roma coach Cesare Prandelli had influenced his decision to stay with the club.

"Prandelli is a great coach," he added.

"I like his philosophy, he is a coach that talks to everyone, young and veteran players."
