Montella ready to face Milan

Vincenzo Montella is training regularly and believes he will be fit enough to make his comeback against the Rossoneri.
“As far as I am concerned,” explained the Roma star, “I am ready for this challenge. The decision on whether or not I will play depends on the Coach.”
The Italian international was thought to be out of Tuesday’s showdown after undergoing knee surgery before Christmas.
But he is recovering earlier than expected and has trained alongside his teammates for the last three days.
“It is only natural that a player wishes to make his mark on such an important occasion,” he continued.
“Milan play good football with short passes, while Andrea Pirlo gives their game greater depth with his pin-point long balls forward to Andriy Shevchenko.”
Roma are considered the favourites going into this top of the table clash, particularly now that injuries threaten to keep Alessandro Nesta and Pippo Inzaghi on the sidelines.
“Like all teams that like to push forward,” explained Montella, “Milan can tend to suffer when attacked because they are not accustomed to it. Nonetheless, we must be wary of Shevchenko as he is always decisive in the big games.”
