UPDATE 1-AS Roma says auditors do not sign FY accounts
(Adds details, industrial plan)
MILAN, Oct 16 (Reuters) - Italy''''''''s AS Roma soccer club said on Thursday auditors Grant Thornton did not sign its accounts for the year ending June 30, citing uncertainties in its financial situation and concerns over its future.
The Serie A top league club said in a statement that auditors also expressed unease over Roma''''''''s use of a government decree which allows clubs to spread the cost of signing new players over 10 years instead of three, the "Save Soccer" decree.
Roma''''''''s board in September approved accounts which showed a net loss of 105 million euros for the year to June 30.
Roma added on Thursday its board had mandated Chief Executive Rosella Sensi to prepare an industrial plan to overhaul the club''''''''s finances and clear up queries drawn up by its auditors.
In a statement, the club said its plan would follow guidelines approved last month which included maintaining its slice of the markets in which it operates, cutting operating costs including staff wages and improving management of its existing supply of players.
The plan would also include a restructuring of Roma''''''''s debt and a recapitalisation.
Italian soccer clubs, which include some of Europe''''''''s most glamorous sides, are suffering the effects of overspending on players'''''''' wages, with only a handful still operating in the black.
In a report published earlier this year business daily Il Sole 24 Ore said clubs had a total debt of 500 million euros by the end of June.
现在传得很盛的,罗马要整顿财务,包括清理帐务,削减开支。目前具体负责人是森西的女儿罗塞蒂。
