Panucci in Roma pledge Friday 4 June, 2004

Roma’s Christian Panucci has rejected speculation that he could follow Fabio Capello to Juventus.
The defender has worked with the tactician at Milan, Real Madrid and in the capital but he’s committed his future to his current club.
"There isn’t another team at the moment that would want to make me leave Roma," said the Italian international.
"Juventus? I’m happy in Rome. I’ll only consider packing my bags if the club told me that they needed to sell me."
Capello has been replaced by Cesare Prandelli and Panucci has welcomed the new man.
"An important project seems to be underway and we must all give our support to the new Coach," added the defender.
Another player that seems keen on the Giallorossi is Chievo star Simone Perrotta. "I wouldn’t say no to a move there," admitted the midfielder.
"I’ve been happy in Verona and I still have three years left on my contract but I do feel ready for another stage."
However, one man that isn’t so enthusiastic about playing for the Giallorossi is Lazio winger Cesar.
"I would never join them," he said after being linked with the city rivals. "They are a big club but I could never play for them out of respect to the Lazio fans.
"I am a professional but I really have no desire to go and play my football on the other side of the city."
