Cesare Prandelli has confirmed that he intends to Coach next season but he’s ruled out a return to Roma.
The tactician was forced to quit the Giallorossi in the summer, just weeks after his arrival, to take care of his ill wife.
But Manuela Prandelli is believed to be on the road to recovery and her husband is looking to get back into the game.
"I’ll be there in September, I’m desperate to start coaching a football team again," he commented.
"Roma? It is highly improbable that I will sign for them in the summer because they already have a Coach who is doing some good things.
"Gigi Del Neri has done well to change the system by playing with three at the back and three up front. That has resulted in pleasing and organised football."
However, Prandelli did open the Fiorentina door after admitting he’s already met with the Viola owners.
"The Della Valle family is made up of splendid people and that is why I thought it was right to meet them," he added.
The Tuscan club approached the former Parma boss this season after sacking both Emiliano Mondonico and Sergio Buso.
But Prandelli declined to take over even if he may be offered the position again in the near future, given the difficulties of current tactician Dino Zoff.
