West Ham and Sunderland chase Roma defender

Both West Ham and Sunderland have reportedly enquired about Roma defender Giuseppe Scurto. Scurto recently rejected a new contract with Roma, and Roma are keen to cash in on the player rather than see him leave for free next season.
Napoli and Chievo are also said to be keen on the player, who Roma would allow to leave on a loan basis, with the chance of a permanent signing, as they look to cut their losses now their transfer embargo has been lifted.
