Roma keen on United ace

Serie A giants Roma have contacted Manchester United’s Mikael Silvestre according to France legend Marius Tresor.
Bordeaux are pushing to sign the versatile defender, and it has been revealed that the left back and centre back has also been proposed to play in the Italian capital.
Tresor, a former France international, now working for Les Girondins, does not believe that Silvestre will opt for the Stade Chaban-Delmas outfit.
The chief scout has revealed that the French side have only proposed the 31-year-old a loan deal, whereas the Giallorossi want him permanently.
Silvestre returned to action against Roma after a long injury this season, and achieved a convincing performance at Old Trafford.
“For Mikael Silvestre, I’m afraid it’s complicated,” Tresor told RTL radio station.
“I recently met him in the West Indies.
“He told me he was at least approached by Roma.
“And as far as both teams are concerned, there’s a risk a permanent move to Roma is more attractive than a loan to Bordeaux.”
