Roma rejected Lyon striker Fred

Roma have rejected the chance to sign Olympique Lyon striker Fred.
Il Romanista says Fred offered himself to Roma several weeks ago after falling out with coach Gerard Houllier.

A loan deal was proposed, which would have seen Roma only paying half the Brazilian's wages, in line with the club's pay structure, and the option to make the deal permanent at the end of next season.

But Roma coach Luciano Spalletti refused to consider changing his successful lone striker system to accommodate Fred and informed the forward he would only arrive as cover for Francesco Totti - a proposal the 23 year-old found unacceptable.

这笔转会的告吹倒不是因为弗雷德的实力光头看不上，而是因为光头下赛季仍然会打单前锋战术,显然队长是首选,而弗雷德不肯来替补,于是就没成功
