The Norwegian attacker returned from his unsuccessful loan at Urawa Reds and is now regularly training with Daniele De Rossi’s squad.
His future, however, is unlikely to unravel in the Italian capital.
For the past few weeks, Roma have been shopping him around Europe, in hope of attracting offers for a permanent exit.
As reported by Corriere dello Sport, Solbakken has drawn Malmo’s interest.
However, the player’s salary poses a big problem for the Swedish team.
Solbakken would have to accept a pay cut in order to facilitate the completion of the deal.

L'Empoli ha praticamente chiuso il colpo Ola Solbakken. Secondo quanto riportato da Sky Sport, dopo l'accordo che era già stato trovato con la Roma, è arrivato pure l'ok del calciatore norvegese, che ha deciso di unirsi al gruppo di Roberto D'Aversa. Restano da definire gli ultimi dettagli, ma, salvo sorprese, l'esterno offensivo giocherà in Toscana la prossima stagione. L'ex Bodo/Glimt arriverà in azzurro in prestito secco.
