Totti Considered quitting Italy

Roma striker Francesco Totti has admitted he thought about quitting the Italian national team after the last world cup. The Italian has been criticsed in the past for his performances for the national team.

"I've thought about leaving the Italian national team," Totti told Sky Italia. "After the European championship I wasn't too much convicted of it, maybe I was more after the World Cup experience in Korea and Japan. "The World Cup hadn't been positive and about me many things had been said. "Maybe I had been wrong, but then I had many critics. "I thought about quitting Azzurri. Then the character and the people who had been close to me, told me to continue because it was the best answer I could give." Totti also moved to reject rumours that he does not get on with Italy coach Marcello Lippi "It is a fantastic relationship, because with Lippi there is dialogue, harmony and happiness," added Totti. "So I think that when a coach gives you these things is a really positive situation".

队长在接受天空电视台的时候表示，由于他总是由于在国家队中的表现受到过多的指责，

将考虑在德国世界杯后退出国家队。同时他还驳斥了他的退出是由于与里皮交恶引起的。

PS：那就让那帮吹毛求疵的家伙看看没有队长的国家队是怎样的吧，挖哈哈！！

世界杯上获得个好成绩，然后和同辈的一批好友们一块退出国家队，以后的意大利，就让现在号称风华正茂实力超人的年轻人们吧。

看了下楼主的新闻，似乎托蒂说的是过去考虑过退出国家队，但是后来改变了主意，决定继续为意大利效力。并不是说要在世界杯后退出国家队吧？

另外，下面《罗马人报》的新闻也是说托蒂在连续遭遇2002世界杯和2004欧洲杯的打击后曾经考虑退出国家队，但他最后决定要在国家队有一个完美的结束。

Francesco Totti, in un'intervista esclusiva a Sky, confessa di aver pensato anche di lasciare la maglia azzurra ma si dice pronto a prendersi tutte le responsabilità. "Dopo gli Europei non ero proprio convintissimo di lasciare la Nazionale, anche perché l'esperienza di Corea e Giappone dopo i Mondiali non è stata positiva. Ho sbagliato io e mi hanno dato tutti addosso, forse un po' troppo. Li' avevo pensato di smettere con l'azzurro. Invece il carattere, la gente che mi è stata vicino, mi ha detto di continuare perché era la migliore risposta che potevo dare". Totti va oltre e spiega di essere pronto ad essere il faro dell'Italia di Lippi in Germania. Anche se rigetta la parola leader. "Fortunatamente ho un carattere forte, perciò le responsabilità le accetto volentieri. Però penso che leader sia una parola un po' troppo grande, perché anche Lippi ha sempre detto che siamo tutti uguali. Non c'e' uno in particolare che sta al di sopra di tutti, percio' questo penso che e' uno spirito giusto, uno spirito che fa bene al gruppo". Il capitano della Roma parla anche del suo rapporto con Lippi. "Il rapporto e' fantastico, e' fantastico perche' con Lippi c'e' dialogo, c'e' armonia, c'e' allegria. Percio' penso che quando un allenatore ti trasmette questa cosa e' solo un fatto positivo". Inevitabile il capitolo Cassano, ma Totti è diplomatic "Cassano in forma e' un giocatore forte. Pero' da qui al Mondiale c'e' tempo anche perche' il ct non ha detto ancora chi viene e chi non viene, percio' tutti siamo in bilico e poi in maggio si vedra'".

估计托蒂应该可以把国家队的生涯,最起码要到踢完08年欧洲杯之后再说,如果状态保持了好10年世界杯也是他发挥的舞台
